Overview

Vayce is built to work locally in your browser whenever possible.

This page explains what limited data may be processed when you use Vayce.app, and why.

1. What Data Is Processed

We aim to collect as little data as possible and avoid invasive tracking.

Depending on how you use the site, the following information may be processed:

Hosting & Security

Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, may process technical information such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser and device type
  • Request logs

This data is used for security, performance, and reliability (e.g. DDoS protection, caching, and error prevention).

Anonymous & Aggregated Analytics

We use multiple analytics tools to understand overall usage patterns, not individual users.

Umami Analytics

Umami is a privacy-focused, open-source analytics platform.

Umami:

  • Does not use cookies
  • Does not store IP addresses
  • Does not track users across websites

It provides anonymous metrics such as page views, referrers, device type, and country.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

We also use Google Analytics 4, deployed via Google Tag Manager, to better understand site performance and content effectiveness.

GA4 may process:

  • Page views and navigation events
  • Approximate location (derived from IP, not precise GPS)
  • Device and browser information

We configure GA4 with privacy-conscious settings where possible, including:

  • IP anonymization
  • No use of personally identifiable information (PII)
  • No intentional cross-site user profiling

Google may process this data on servers outside the EU in accordance with its Data Processing Terms and applicable safeguards.

On-Site Engagement Features

We use Mediavine Grow to provide optional engagement features such as:

  • Sharing prompts
  • Follow and interaction widgets

Grow may process limited technical data (such as IP address, browser, device type, and interaction events) and may use cookies or similar technologies strictly for functional purposes, such as:

  • Remembering preferences
  • Preventing repeated prompts

These features are optional and only activate when you interact with them.

2. How This Data Is Used

The limited data described above is used only to:

  • Keep the site secure, stable, and fast
  • Understand how pages and tools are used in aggregate
  • Improve usability, content quality, and tool performance
  • Measure general site growth and discoverability

We do not build personal profiles, sell data, or track users across unrelated websites.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data.

Some data may be processed by trusted third-party services acting on our behalf:

These providers only process data necessary to deliver their services and are not permitted to use it for unrelated purposes.

4. Cookies & Similar Technologies

Vayce itself does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

However:

  • GA4 may use cookies or similar technologies for analytics purposes
  • Mediavine Grow may use cookies or local storage for functional features

These technologies are not used for personalized advertising on Vayce and are limited to analytics or site functionality.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings.

Your Rights

If you are located in the EU, you have rights under the GDPR regarding your personal data.

Because Vayce does not maintain user accounts or store personally identifiable profiles, most data we process is aggregated and cannot be linked to individual users.

If you have questions about data processing on Vayce, you can contact us for clarification.

6. Updates to This Policy

If we introduce new features that affect how data is processed, this policy will be updated accordingly.

The latest version will always be available on this page.

By using Vayce.app, you agree to the data practices described in this policy.
